Camp Program
SGE campers will make new friends, stay active, build self-esteem, and make memories to last a lifetime!
Gymnastics camp combines coach led instruction with games, arts & crafts and lots of fun.
Camp is a great way to build on gymnastics skills or experience gymnastics for the first time. Children of all levels and abilities are welcome!
Summer Camp
Summer camp runs during the months of July and August. Each week has a unique theme with games and activities geared to the theme.
PA Day Camp
PA Day camps are aligned with the TDSB PA day schedule. Camps will only run when both elementary and secondary schools have a PA day.
Holiday Camp
Holiday camp runs the first week of January and is a great way to keep kids busy at the start of the new year.
March Break Camp
March break camp is a great way to beat the winter doldrums. Our team will keep the kids active and having fun!
A Typical Day at Camp
Opening & Closing Circles: Our opening circle sets the tone for the day and our closing circle wraps it all up. This time may include a variety of SGE songs, warm-up activities and fun large-group games. This is also where campers learn about our “bead” program and earn their beads of honour.
Gymnastics Instruction & Fitness: Groups are organized by age and ability for gymnastics instruction and activities designed to improve the Campers overall level of fitness. Approximately half of the Campers time will be focused on gymnastics/fitness instruction.
Games & Activities: Several times throughout the day Campers will come together to participate in theme-based activities and large group games.
Arts & Crafts: Every day the campers enjoy traditional arts and crafts programming. Our arts & crafts projects are tied to our weekly themes, sometimes messy, and always FUN.
Outdoor Activities: Weather permitting, campers go outdoors every day. This may include a visit to the park where we have lots of space for outdoor games or some hopscotch or jump rope, right outside the gym.
Snacks & Lunch: We have two snack breaks and an hour long lunch break each day. During these breaks, campers will have time to enjoy the food the brought from home as well as supervised free time either in the gym or outside, weather permitting.
