Virtual Gymnastics

We are excited to offer a 10 week virtual gymanstics program. A new pre-recorded class will be released each week. Each class builds on the previous and is aligned with our in-gym program.

Our virtual gymanstics classes are led by one of our recreational coaches and a Coach-in-Training assists as a demonstrator. Each class includes a warm-up, circuits/exercises/games (depending on the age and level), skill work a dance section, and of course a cool down.

Check out our frequently asked questions below for more information.

Frequently Asked Questions

What time are the classes?

These classes are pre-recorded so you can do the class anytime during the week that is convenient.

How much do the virtual classes cost?

The virtual program is $100 (no tax as we are a non-profit organization) for 10 weeks.

Do I need a Gymnastics Ontario membership?

You do need a 2020-2021 membership but if you don't have one, don't worry. We will cover the cost of your membership for participation in virtual classes between February 1, 2021 and June 30, 2021. Just add it to your cart when prompted during checkout. You will see the price as $0.00 when you check out.

Can I register by phone?

At this time all our staff are working remotely so we do prefer that you register online if possible. If that is not an option for you, or if you are having difficulty with the registration process, please email general@scarboroughgymelites.ca and one of our team members will reach out to you to provide assistance.

How much space does my child need?

We recommend a space of approximately 6' X 6' but it will be easy to modify the activities if your space is a little smaller.

What should my child wear?

Any type of athletic wear is fine. Shorts/leggings and a t-shirt are ideal. If you want to wear a gymnastics leotard that is also an option. Just like in the gym children should be barefoot and have long hair tied back.

What if I am busy and miss a week?

Don't worry, all classes will be available to you for a full 3 months so you never miss out.

Can I do the class more than once?

Yes! In fact you can do each class as many times as you like.

I have two children, do I have to register both of them?

If your children are different ages and/or levels, you may need to register them in different classes. But if they are going to do the same class then you only need to register once.

How do I access the virtual classes?

A link to our Virtual Portal will be emailed to you within 24 hours of your registration.
